In the morning you'll head to La Fortuna de Arenal, about 3.5 hours from San José. Upon arrival, you'll have a free afternoon before heading on your own to Ecotermales HotSprings: a set of thermo-mineral pools at different temperatures, surrounded by tropical gardens. A great way to close out the first day in the volcanic region.

The morning starts with a hike along the slopes of Arenal Volcano, where you'll learn about the history and geology of the area. Then you'll head to La Fortuna Waterfall: a 70-meter waterfall accessible via natural trails, with a viewpoint and pools ideal for cooling off.

You'll enjoy an immersive nature experience with a guided hike through the Hanging Bridges of Místico Park. This activity offers a unique perspective to observe wildlife and admire the scenic beauty of the Arenal landscape from above.

Today you'll change scenery: from the volcano to the Central Pacific. The transfer to Manuel Antonio takes approximately 4.5 hours and crosses a good part of the country. Upon arrival, the afternoon is free to explore the hotel and nearby beaches.

Explore Manuel Antonio National Park at your own pace on this self-guided visit. Walk along rainforest trails that lead to white sand beaches and discover the area's immense biodiversity, where sloths, iguanas, monkeys, and a wide variety of birds are commonly spotted.
