A Natura Tours representative will greet you at the airport exit and take you directly to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest and prepare for a week and a half of touring.
Early in the morning you depart for the North Caribbean. The route combines ground transport to the boarding dock and then a boat ride through the canals to the lodge, since Tortuguero has no road access. On arrival, welcome cocktail and first contact with this unique corner of the country, surrounded by canals, dense rainforest and black-sand beach. Breakfast included en route.
A full day in Tortuguero. In the morning, a boat tour through the canals of the National Park, where the naturalist guide explains the local ecosystem. In the afternoon, a guided visit to the small village of Tortuguero, and a walk along the trails and the lodge's beach.
Breakfast at Laguna Lodge and departure toward Guápiles (lunch included en route). At 1:30pm, shared transfer to Arenal (approx. 2.5 hrs). That same night, access to the mineral hot spring pools at Ecotermales HotSprings with dinner included.
The Balsa River offers one of the most accessible and enjoyable rafting routes in the Arenal area. The Class II-III rapids are suitable for people with no prior experience, with certified guides on every boat. The route includes riverside rainforest scenery and lunch at the end.
The transfer to Monteverde is one of the most scenic of the trip: it combines taxi, boat across Lake Arenal and another taxi up to the heights of the cloud forest. On arrival, in the afternoon (5:30pm), a guided night walk through the forest departs to discover nocturnal species.
The feeling of flying through the treetops is a must-do experience. You'll walk across platforms and cables taking in the natural trails and the most spectacular views of the cloud forest. Gliding like Superman or doing the Tarzan Swing will be unforgettable experiences.
The trip's last transfer takes you from the cloud forest to the North Pacific. Guanacaste welcomes you with its warm climate, clear skies and the country's most well-known beaches. The hotel has exclusive access to the Langosta Beach Club, just minutes from Tamarindo.
A day with no scheduled activities to enjoy at your own pace. Playa Conchal, known for its crushed-shell sand and clear waters, and Playa Flamingo, with its white sand and relaxed atmosphere, are a short distance away and excellent options to unwind.
One more day to make the most of the North Pacific. Tamarindo is a great starting point for optional activities such as surfing, snorkeling or a sunset sailboat cruise. It's also possible to simply stay on the beach and wrap up the trip at your own pace.
Breakfast at the hotel and return transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport for the departure flight. Pura Vida!
